Donna Balzer

When Donna Balzer moved to Qualicum Beach her first vegetable crop after 30 years of growing on the Prairies was a dismal failure. Now Donna has two greenhouses and harvests food year-round from her garden. An award-winning media personality and garden consultant with a personal passion for food growing in northern regions, Donna is an enthusiastic and successful gardener with loads of stories to tell.

Horticulturist, speaker, and author, Donna has a degree in Agriculture with a specialty in Horticulture. She has a YouTube channel, 3 seasons as host of the Internationally broadcast Bugs & Blooms on HGTV and appears frequently on CBC radio in Canada.

Her recent book No Guff Vegetable Gardening is a Canadian best seller perfect for beginners and her newest book The Three-Year Gardener’s Gratitude Journal is ideal for skilled gardeners who want to learn from their own mistakes!
